Dr. A. Macleod
Dr Andrew Macleod has been practising in Westville for 15 years. Our aim is to provide a superior service to our clients from the moment telephonic contact is made until the client leaves. We strive to provide a holistic approach looking at both the physical and psychosocial factors.
Over the years we have noticed a swing towards preventative health care. In this respect,  patients are encouraged to book in for `personal medicals`. This involves addressing areas of concern and routine issues involving all the organ systems. Following this is a physical check up and bloods are taken as appropriate. Then Special investigations such as stress ECG and lung function tests are done at the surgery. At follow up, any deviations are addressed and referred as appropriate.
Dr Macleod has an interest in research medicine and at any time, clinical trials are undertaken. These are primarily phase IV trials involving drugs that have already been released. Candidates for research are gathered from the practice population. The primary area of interest is allergy and asthma.
Dr Macleod`s special area of interest is that of asthma and allergic rhinitis. The KZN coast with its high relative humidity has high levels of house dust mite, the common causative agent in asthma. The practice sees patients from a wide area with these ailments

Dr. A. Landman
I obtained my degree at the University of the Free State in 2003. My tertiary education brings back treasured memories of quality education.
The Provincial Hospital in Kroonstad served as institution for my housemanship. I gained a lot of experience in surgery, anesthetics and spent many hours in the labour ward. Hereafter I completed my community service in Dundee. Knowledge and experience obtained during my internship were of great value to me.
In January 2006 I joined a private practice in Dundee. This was probably the best practical learning experience I could have asked for. I was involved in normal private practice, doing district surgeon duties, sessions at the hospital, in theatre and occupational health at the local colliery. My medical and people skills benefited greatly.
2007 brought me to Durban where I joined Dr.A.H. Macleod`s practice in December.
I enjoy private practice especially the variety of patient profiles however children are my favourite. Their honesty and innocence is enviable: I respect doctor/patient confidentiality and my patients` health is my first priority!

Dr. R. Daniell
I studied medicine at Wits University and qualified in 1998. Prior to that I obtained a Law degree at Johannesburg University (but decided medicine was my calling!!).
I did my internship at Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto and then Community service at Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg. Thereafter I went to the UK and worked there from 2001 until 2005. I did mainly Paediatrics and A&E.
Upon returning to SA I decided to get some anaesthetics experience and worked at various government hospitals over the next 5 years doing anaesthetics. I did my diploma in anaesthetics during this time.
I joined Dr AH Macleod in Feb 2011 and work part  time at the practice. I love that we have such a holistic approach to healthcare and that there is such a high premium on quality health care. My main interests are pediatrics and women`s health but I enjoy every aspect of general practice and the variety it presents.
